Performed on 17th January 2007 at the Vera Fenn Studio, Walsall.

These two plays looked at the theme of teenage pregnancy in the 1800's and 1960's. Our aim for this first Spit Spot Theatre Production was to offer young people the chance to perform in a small-scale production company. The cast were able to acquire many performance skills and a wider knowledge of producing a play. The small cast sizes meant that each performer gained more attention both in the rehearsal and performance process than they had previously received in larger youth companies.

Youth Theatre

Since 2004, Spit Spot Theatre have been working closely with Streetly Youth Association to set up a weekly drama group and help them to put on productions. The small group has grown in numbers and now has members aged between 8 and 17 years who work together to write, produce and perform their own plays. A past member of the original 2004 group has now taken over the running of the weekly sessions.

The groups performances to date include:

The Fairy Tale Show/The Witches Garden - Written and produced by the company

Pudsey - The Musical - In aid of Children in Need.

Countdown to Christmas - A review of song, dance and acting, produced and written by the company.
